Kalonji seeds ( Nigella seeds)
Also known as Nigella Sativa, Kalongi seeds have been used in tradition Indian medicine for many health conditions. If you have eaten Naan at a restaurant, the black seeds on it are the Kalonji seeds. They are a common spice in Indian cuisine. Added to Pickle spices, Five spice and used on its on too. They provide a slightly bitter and peppery tase.
