Jaswant's Story

It all started with a simple concept.

Jaswant grew up in rural Punjab in Northern India, where her dhadhi (grandmother) ruled the kitchen. She used only the freshest ingredients straight from the farm to make wholesome food at every meal and always served with love.

The good old days.

This concept got ingrained in little Jaswant's beliefs about food. It must be fresh and it must be healthy.

After receiving her Masters in Nutrition from the Punjab Agricultural University, she got married and moved to Canada. Four kids later, she found herself a full-time chef at home. She strived to cook fresh meals at home everyday, just like dhadhi used to. But the complicated process of cooking Indian food was just taking too long. She knew there had to be a faster way to make the same dishes without compromising on nutrition or taste.

Jaswant also built a successful nutrition consulting practice in the GTA focusing on the needs of south asians (www.nutrisense.ca). She found that her busy clients were faced with the same problem of being short on time and wanting to feed their families healthy but tasty traditional indian meals.

In came the idea of the spice blends.

Most Indians wouldn't dare change the traditional process, but even the people who Jaswant thought would be the most skeptical, her relatives and old friends from back home, were asking for bottles to take home with them!

Over the years, her kids took the spices to university to avoid eating at fast food joints. And now they even use them to cook Indian food at home for their own children, Jaswant's grandchildren! Wow, time really flies!

And clients from Jaswant's nutrition consulting practice rave about how much time they help to save and how much healthier their families are as a result.

Now Jaswant is offering the spices to you, the public. Hey, when something is this good, you have to share it!
