Moong Daal (split without skin)
Moong daal comes whole with skin( green). this is the split moong daal without skin. It can be cooked same way as Red lentils, with some extra time. It is common to mix it with Masoor daal( red lentils) half and half. It is also used to make khichdi, mixed with rice to make a complete meal. You can also make kofta with it by soaking in water, ground into paste with spices and then fried as small balls. Kofta can be used as a snack or cooked in a Tadka based sauce as a main dish.
